A goal (an event) is a target action performed by an end-user on your target page. You can define which goals you want to track: just indicate it in your campaign.

On Reach, there are two terms: a goal value and a goal title. A goal value can be not only a real name of the target action. You can name it as you want. A goal value participates in the tracking process at the stage of postback receiving.

A goal title is usually a real name of the target action or its type (purchase, download, and so on). You see goal titles in statistics. It doesn't participate in the tracking process.

When creating a payout, you add a goal title to it, so you can regulate how much you pay to publishers for a certain target action.

  • ID: the unique goal ID.

  • Goal title: the goal title, a nominal name of a real target action, performed by an end-user. The goal title doesn't participate in a tracking process. You see a goal title in statistics.

  • Goal type: the type of target action (purchase, download, and so on).

  • Postback value: the goal value you receive via the postback link. A conversion chooses the appropriate payout with the help of a goal value. You don't see a goal value in the statistics.

  • Actions:

    • Edit: you can edit a goal.

    • Delete: you can delete a goal. If at least one payout or cap contains a goal, which you want to delete, you firstly need to change the goal for this payout or cap, or to delete the payout or cap. At least one goal should exist in the campaign.
