Perform an integration test (s2s)

Integration test helps you understand whether you set up all the links and the whole campaign correctly, and whether all redirects work well.

There are two general steps:

  • Tracking URL work: you check whether a publisher's tracking link leads to your tracking URL.

  • Postback link work: you check whether you receive information about conversions consistently and without errors.

Once you set up a new campaign, it is recommended to perform a test.

Tracking URL test

  1. Click Campaigns in the side menu.

  2. Open the campaign where you want to add a payout.

  3. Go to the Integration setup tab.

  4. In the Perform a test click section, copy the link in the Tracking link field. You need to check whether this link leads to your tracking URL, which you have on the Tracking URLs tab.

  5. Go to Affilitest or a similar service, where you can check redirects.

  6. Test the link. As a result, you need to get a direct redirect with no additional links in-between.

The test is successful if the tracking link leads directly to your tracking URL, marked as a default in the campaign. A click ID is created and passed in your tracking URL.

Postback link test

If you set up a postback link correctly, you will receive a postback (information about a conversion) automatically after a tracking URL test. You need to check its status.

  1. Click Statistics in the side menu.

  2. Click Postback log in the statistics menu.

  3. Find a newly registered postback and check its status.

The test is successful if the postback has the Successful status. Reach registers conversion, and you can find it in the Conversions statistics.

If the postback has the Declined status, there is an error. Reach doesn't register a conversion unless you settle an issue.
