Set up a tracking URL

Tracking URL is a link where clicks are sent to. In the campaign settings, you can add as many tracking URLs as you want, including preview URLs and a comment for your publisher to let him choose the URL easier.

Before you begin

Set up a tracking URL

  1. Click Campaigns in the side menu.

  2. Select a needed campaign you want to set up a tracking URL for and click its title.

  3. Proceed to the Tracking URLs tab.

  4. Click Add new Tracking URL. A window appears.

  5. Type a unique name for a tracking URL in the URL name field.

  6. Add a preview URL in the Preview URL field to let your publisher know where they send clicks to. No additional macros are required.

  7. Add a tracking URL itself in the Tracking URL field.

  8. Add necessary parameters from your external system.

  9. Add necessary macros by Reach.

  10. Optional. Leave a hint for your publisher about values you want to receive in certain macros:

    1. Add one of the following macros to the link. An additional field appears.

      • {adv_sub1} - {adv_sub4}

      • {pub_click_id}

    2. Describe the value you want to receive in the inserted macro.

  11. Optional. Add a comment for your publisher to ease off the process of selecting tracking URLs.

The tracking URL example:

http://example.com?&device_ua={adv_sub1}&rand={rand}&time={time}&city={city}&clickid={click_id}
