Cap is a tool to limit the amount of received clicks or conversions. In terms of conversions, you can limit them by two options: their amount or amount of money paid to a publisher.

Before you begin

Create a cap

  1. Click Campaigns in the side menu.

  2. Open the campaign where you want to add a cap.

  3. Go to the Caps tab.

  4. Click Add new cap. A window appears.

  5. Select which type of data you want to set a limit for:

    • Clicks

    • Conversions

    • Payouts

If you choose clicks, proceed to step 7.

  6. Select statuses of conversions, which are counted for a cap. You can select the All statuses option. You can't select only Rejected status if the cap type is Payouts or Conversions.

  7. Select goal titles, with which conversions are counted for a cap. You can select the All goals option. The drop-down list contains goals you've already created in a campaign.

  8. Set a certain limit of clicks or conversions. If you select payouts, set a certain amount of money. Reach uses USD as a default currency.

  9. Set a time period, within which clicks/conversions/payouts are counted for. You can select the All time option: the whole period when a campaign is active.

  10. Select publishers, who the cap is counted for:

    • All publishers

    • Each publisher

    • Specific publisher: select one or more certain publishers.

  11. Click Add rule.
