Tracking link (a shortlink) is a link you send clicks to. With the help of this link, an advertiser receives clicks and information about them, including data you send to him. An advertiser can request some specific data and leave you hints.

When getting a tracking link, you can select a creative an advertiser uploaded to a campaign, as well as a certain landing page if an advertiser provides a choice.

To pass information via a tracking link, you need to add parameters by Reach and the ones of your external system. Reach provides a link itself (a shortlink, where a campaign ID and your ID as a publisher are already encoded).

Tracking link on Reach

You can get a tracking link in a campaign: Campaigns > a certain campaign > Tracking links.

You can get a tracking link only for a campaign in the Active status.

where:

  • ID: the tracking link ID within a campaign. The ID is shown in the shortlink.

  • Landing: the page, where you send clicks to. Read more about it here.

  • Creative: a media file, which you can use for making your ads more attractive to end-users. Read more about it here.

  • Parameter: all parameters of the tracking link as well as macros or certain values correspondingly. Parameters are highlighted with different colors:

    • Grey: parameters, which Reach required (for a creative and a landing page).

    • Green: parameters, which an advertiser required.

    • Yellow: parameters, which you added optionally.

  • Result type: you can see a full shortlink itself by clicking View links/code.

  • Delete: you can delete a tracking link. If you deleted a tracking link, traffic is redirected to a trafficback URL.
